Nigel Thompson is a university qualified Podiatrist, completing his 4 year degree in 2000 at the University of Western Sydney. Nigel has additional university qualifications in complementary medicine (acupuncture) and myotherapy (muscular therapy and dry needling). He also completed a Tafe Certificate In Fitness Leadership whilst working as a myotherapist.
Before moving to Sydney to study Podiatry, Nigel successfully ran a sports injury/muscular therapy clinic in Victoria for almost 10 years, during which time he developed a keen interest in biomechanics and lower limb function. During this time he also worked alongside podiatrists at the Australian Institute of Sport, treating a range of lower limb injuries, which stimulated him to further his studies and enrol in the Podiatry degree at the University of Western Sydney.
Nigel has provided podiatry services in the Great Lakes region since 2005, and is enjoying being able to continue this in a multidisciplinary setting at Macintosh Lower Limb Clinic.
